Angela B. Furubotten-LaRosee, CFP®
Angie began her work life after graduating from Pasco High and the University of Washington, by jetting over to Japan to teach English to Japanese students for nearly five years. After eating her fill of sushi and okonomiyaki, she returned to her hometown and opened a retail gourmet food, microbrew and wine shop, called The Brew Garden, with her sister. Throughout her early career endeavors she prospered in a variety of service, marketing and financial related work.
In 2006 she worked closely with Roland Thompson and Marvin Liebe to establish Liebe-Thompson, LLC, a fee-only financial planning firm in Kennewick, Washington. Angie completed her education at the College for Financial Planning and subsequently earned her Certified Financial Planner™ Professional designation in 2011. This achievement has allowed her to follow her passion in focusing on helping people make smart choices about their money. In 2014 part of Liebe-Thompson merged into Advisor Benefits.
During the summer of 2017 she started her own firm, Avea Financial Planning, LLC and is a registered investment advisor (RIA) with the state of Washington. In our current economic climate, financial planning is one part of people's lives that Angie feels she can help give them back the control they need to live the life they want.
Avea Financial Planning supports Angie in her community service activities. She has been a PEAK Partner for McLoughlin Middle School in the Pasco School District encouraging financial literacy. Angie also works with a classroom every year in the Junior Achievement program teaching entrepreneur and work readiness.
Angie primarily serves people from the Tri-Cities area - Pasco, Kennewick, Richland & West Richland, but has a virtual business and through technology, is able to work with clients from all over the nation.
